It begins with a blossom
Our Honey’s journey from Hive to Home. Out in the fields and forests of our New Zealand home, rare wildflowers flourish. Many are found nowhere else in the world and our bees adore them. As these flowers bloom into color for a sweet few weeks each year, the BeeNZ honey journey begins.
We take only what we’re given
Our little workers are our highest priority. They pollinate trees, crops, and breathe life and color into every place they visit.
Our own hives, and those of a trusted few beekeepers, are home to happy, healthy colonies of bees who gather the nectar around them and turn it into the honey we love.
Respect comes naturally. We never take
more honey than can be spared, and in return, we take exceptional care to ensure the health and wellness of our little workforce.
Crafted with care
Perfection is our passion. David Hayes, our co-founder and head honey meister, accepts no compromise. From the moment the honey enters our very own certified honey facility, everything must be perfect to meet David’s standards.
From the temperature of the honey as we begin to work it to the speed of the churns that gently fold BeeNZ honey into its signature velvet grade texture, if it’s not perfect, it doesn’t make the cut.
Each batch of honey takes up to 3 days to reach the signature quality that makes BeeNZ unique.
The good drop
Seal the goodness. Share with the world. Once a batch of BeeNZ has been crafted and, in the case of our Mānuka Honeys, have been independently tested for their UMF Factor, it’s time to bottle them.
We bottle all of our honey in house and prepare it to head off around the world.
After all the care we’ve put into it, it can be hard to say goodbye.

Hive to home to soul. Wherever you are in the world, we hope that the honey we make in little New Zealand brings as much joy to you, as it brings to us.
Whether you use BeeNZ in drinks, in cooking, for your health, or eaten by itself in a large spoonful we hope you feel the purity of its provenance, and the purely extraordinary journey it went through to be with you.
